MADRID, 5 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The vice president of Argentina, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, has reappeared in public this Friday for the first time since the attack that took place at the beginning of September in which a man pointed a gun at her inches from her face in the vicinity of her home .
The politician has participated as a guest in an event of the Metallurgical Workers’ Union (UOM) in which she has demanded from the current president, Alberto Fernández, measures to alleviate inflation while defending his management at the head of the country and opting for his candidacy to develop the Front of All in the 2019 elections.
“I had the responsibility as the most representative force after the 2017 elections to make a decision and for Peronism to win the elections,” he defended during his speech that has lasted more than an hour, according to Clarín.
He has also made reference to the attack he suffered two months ago, in line with what he has stated that the justice system “is not going to investigate anything because they want me as a defendant, not as a victim”, after which he has indicated that they are conclusions that he has removed during this time.
According to the Télam agency at the meeting, the vice president has been received with the cry of “Cristina president” by her followers. In addition, the deputy of the FdT Eduardo Valdés has highlighted that “there is Cristina to challenge” and has valued that she has chosen to reappear alongside the workers “who are the ones she always wanted to represent and never betrayed.”
In the same sense, the deputy Leopoldo Moreau (FdT) has pointed out that despite everything that happened, if anyone believed that this was going to intimidate or coward her, they were wrong.
