MADRID, 8 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The President of Brazil, Luz Inácio Lula da Silva, held an emergency meeting this Sunday with his ministers to discuss the situation in Brasilia, where a mob of protesters has assaulted the headquarters of Congress, the Planalto presidential palace and the Supreme Court Federal to demand a coup.

Lula, who is in Araraquara, Sao Paulo, held a videoconference meeting with Defense Ministers Jose Mucio Monteiro; of Justice, Flavio Dino, and of Institutional Relations, Alexandre Padilha.

Lula has traveled to Sao Paulo to see first-hand the damage caused last week by heavy rains, which caused the death of six people.

The president had called a press conference that was suspended after the information about the entry of the Bolsonaristas into the headquarters of Congress was released. Lula is accompanied by the Ministers of Labor, Luiz Marinho; of Cities, Jader Filho, and of National Development, Waldez Góes.
