Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi assured this Saturday that the United States has failed in its attempt to harass a revolt in Iran following models such as those in Libya or Syria, where the protests led to civil wars.

“The riots and attempts to establish the case in the country are not the same as protests. We must react against the riots and against those who try to generate insecurity,” Raisi said during a meeting with students in Tehran, according to the agency. of Iranian news Tasnim.

“The conspiracies to promote insecurity in the country have ended in failure,” stressed Raisi, for whom security has been restored in all the cities of the country.

Raisi took the opportunity to urge students to value the progress made by Iran despite the pressure of sanctions. “Iran’s determination to strengthen itself has forced the enemy to look for new plots,” she stressed.

This same Saturday, the NGO Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), based in the United States, has put the number of deaths at 341 since the outbreak almost two months ago of the protests against the Iranian authorities for the death in custody of the young Mahsa Amini. for wearing the veil wrong.

HRANA finds at least 47 children and 38 members of the security forces among the dead. To this must be added some 14,000 detainees for the protests, which have spread to more than 130 locations in the country, according to their balance this Saturday, published on their Twitter account.

For its part, the NGO Iran Human Rights estimates the deaths at 277 until last Wednesday, including 40 under 18 years of age. The organization, which recalls that these estimates are an “absolute minimum”, finds deaths in 22 provinces, with the highest number reported in Sistan and Balochistan, Mazandaran, Tehran, Kurdistan and Gilan, respectively.

Official Iranian media reported approximately 40 dead as of the end of September, two weeks after Amini’s death.
