MADRID, 21 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Russian authorities have assured this Monday that they will actively seek those responsible for the alleged executions of Russian prisoners of war in Ukraine, released last Friday.

“Russia will do everything possible within the framework of international mechanisms to draw attention to this crime and bring order and law to those who may be involved,” Kremlin spokesman Dimitri Peskov said.

In this sense, it has recognized that Moscow will go to international organizations only if there is evidence of “effectiveness” on the part of these organizations. “Otherwise, it won’t make sense,” Peskov said, according to TASS.

Therefore, although Russia called on international organizations to condemn the alleged execution of Russian prisoners of war, it is now suspicious that these organizations will fully address what happened and side with Moscow.

The Russian Ministry of Justice already warned on Friday that both Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and “his henchmen” should be held accountable for the alleged execution of Russian prisoners of war by Ukrainian soldiers.

“Zelenski and his henchmen will have to answer before the court of history, the peoples of Russia and Ukraine for each and every one of the tortured and murdered prisoners,” the Justice Ministry said in a statement.

The Russian Defense Ministry last week accused the Ukrainian military of the execution of at least a dozen prisoners of war captured in images that they denounced as a “methodical and intentional murder.”
