MADRID, 3 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The South Korean and United States Air Forces announced on Thursday their decision to extend the period of the joint air exercise ‘Storm Vigilante’ in response to the recent “provocation” by North Korea, which launched three ballistic missiles hours earlier towards the sea of ??Japan.

As detailed by the South Korean Air Force, the joint training – which began on October 31 and should end on November 4 – will be extended over time, although both countries must still agree on how long, as the Yonhap agency has learned.

The decision has been motivated by the recent projectile launches carried out by North Korea, which fired almost twenty missiles on Wednesday alone, of which one flew over the maritime demarcation line between the two Koreas for the first time since the war between the two countries, setting off anti-aircraft sirens on one of the South Korean islands.

The ‘Storm Watcher’ is made up of around 140 F-35A, F-15K, KF-16 fighters from the South Korean Air Force, as well as KC-330 air tankers, and F-35B fighters from the United States, has detailed the aforementioned agency.
