Dorsey has regretted doing so, acknowledging that he is aware that many of the workers and people laid off in recent days are angry with their former boss.
“I realize that many are angry with me. I am responsible for why everyone is in this situation: I grew the size of the company too quickly. I apologize for that,” he wrote on his profile.
In addition, he has assured that the people of Twitter of the present and of the future are “strong and resistant” and that for this reason “they will always find a way, however difficult the moment may be.” “I am grateful and love everyone who has ever worked on Twitter. When asked in the comments if he still trusted the businessman for the future of the social network or if he was disappointed with Musk’s first decisions at the helm of Twitter, he rescued a tweet from April in which he expressed that he did not believe that no one should “own or manage the social network”.

Dorsey stepped down as CEO in November 2021 and stepped down from the board of directors in May of this year.
