-BE OPEN presented a competition program for students focused on the SDGs at the World Climate Industry EXPO in Busan, Korea

LONDON, June 2, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — The World Climate Industry EXPO in Busan became a great opportunity for BE OPEN to present its SDG-focused program and, in particular, the ongoing Better student design competition Energy by Design focused on the United Nations SDG 7: Affordable Clean Energy for leading sustainability visionaries and responsible companies in the Asian region and the world.

Hosted by Korean government agencies, the EXPO showcased the latest technologies and policies in the global climate environment and the energy industry to deal with the climate crisis.

EXPO’s Clean Energy Zone and Energy Efficiency Zone brought together representatives of leading international companies and organizations that develop, promote and employ innovative carbon-neutral technologies and policies. Similar technologies are present in the submissions BE OPEN received for the Better Energy by Design competition, which had to relate to one of the following categories: powered by renewables, saving more energy and bridging the energy gap.

The Better Energy by Design contest was developed by BE OPEN to encourage the creation of innovative solutions by younger creatives, for a more prosperous and sustainable future; and was open to students, graduates, and young professionals specializing in the fields of art, design, architecture, and media globally.

The international jury panel is currently finalizing the judging of the contest entries, and the winners will be announced shortly. Five people and creative teams will receive prizes (between 2,000 and 5,000 euros) and the opportunity to visit a major event related to the SDGs.

The aim of the competition program is to raise awareness of the SDGs and contribute to their achievement by recognizing and promoting the best ideas that embody and promote their principles and goals.
