A Russian frigate equipped with hypersonic missiles entered the waters of the Mediterranean Sea this Sunday after crossing the Suez Canal, after which Moscow stated that the vessel “will fulfill its assigned tasks”, without further details.
“The frigate ‘Marshal Shaposhnikov’ of the Pacific Fleet has crossed the Suez Canal and entered the Mediterranean Sea. The ship’s crew continues to carry out their tasks as part of their long sea journey,” the Ministry of Defense said. Russian through a statement on its website.
Thus, he stressed that “in the Mediterranean Sea, the Pacific Fleet frigate will operate in line with the previously planned combat and training plan.” At the moment there are no more details about this plan or about the period of time that ‘Marshal Shaposhnikov’ will spend in the area.
