MADRID, 13 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Government has renounced presenting the General State Budgets for 2024 after the early elections in Catalonia and will focus on the public accounts for the year 2025, as sources from Moncloa have confirmed to Europa Press.

The first vice president and Minister of Finance, María Jesús Montero, previously acknowledged in statements to the media that the Catalan elections for May 12 could “alter” the negotiation with Junts and ERC for the PGE, which will already be extended from May 1 from January.

He also pointed out that if the Government could not carry out these accounts, since the period to present them is limited, they have advanced work to present the 2025 budgets.
