This Thursday, the victims of the Campanar fire began to receive the first aid provided by the Valencian Generalitat so that they can meet essential expenses, which amount to between 6,000 euros and 10,000 euros depending on the members of the family unit.
This was announced by the president of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, in his speech at the Les Corts control session, which focuses on the response to emergencies and aid for fires one week after the tragedy, in which ten people died.
In that sense, he announced that this morning “in record time” the first victims “have already found the first urgent emergency aid in their checking account” and has highlighted “that efficiency” with which they will continue working.
Last Monday, the Valencian Government approved a first package of aid to those affected by the Campanar fire for a total value of close to four million euros: 1.38 million for basic necessities and another 2.48 million for rental aid. .
Likewise, there will be direct aid to cover housing rental expenses that will range between 1,000 euros and 1,500 euros per month and for a maximum duration of one year for owners of the affected home and three months for tenants, while that those who want to acquire a new property will have the Property Transfer Tax at 0% and there will be a definitive exemption from the last two years of the sanitation fee, among others.
