OURENSE, 18 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Armando Ojea (Vilar de Barrio, 1962), number 1 of Democracia Ourensana (DO), the party led by the mayor of Ourense, Gonzalo Pérez Jácome, will sit in the chamber of the Autonomous Chamber in the XII Legislature, which will be constituted On March 18th.
He will do so after a campaign in which his party, with Jácome at the helm, has dispensed with rallies and electoral events, and has opted for launching videos on social networks, and for a campaign of greater “proximity” taking advantage of ‘O Entroido’ in the province.
In his resume, Ojea places the beginning of his professional life in 1985. He notes that he was a physics and mathematics teacher in private academies, as well as coordinator of occupational training courses.
Guitar instructor and musician, he has also done local television programs, and among his free time hobbies is learning languages, as well as reading political and sociological essays.
He is also interested in historical and toponymic research of the province, being a great connoisseur, according to his party, of the particularities of the 92 municipalities of the province of Ourense.
Deputy Mayor of Ourense – he has been a councilor since 2015 and since 2019 with full dedication -, he was also a provincial deputy until he had to leave office to be eligible on the list for the 18F elections.
With Ojea in Parliament, Jácome has achieved the objective of entering regional politics, but the large absolute majority that the popular Alfonso Rueda has garnered leaves him without a key role. And he had made no secret of his intentions. This was reflected in a video that he uploaded on the last day of the campaign in which he used a well-known fragment of the film ‘Jerry Maguire’ in which Cuba Gooding Jr. pressures his representative Tom Cruise to support him by proclaiming: “Show me the dough “.
