BADAJOZ, 14 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –

El Faro, in Badajoz, will become the stage and platform for the Children’s Carnival, through performances by children’s troupes and a costume contest that will give color to the venue to promote this festival among the little ones. In this way, this Friday afternoon the shopping center will host performances by the children’s troupes ‘La Bullanguera’, ‘Umsuka Imbali’ and ‘La Movida’.

One day before, this Thursday, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the first children’s costume contest will begin where the little ones will be able to participate with their best costume and win a Viajes El Corte Inglés El Faro travel card valued at 800 euros. This contest will be extended to Friday, also from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and to Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The objective is none other than “to give prominence to the little people of Badajoz, emphasizing the importance of experiencing Carnival from an early age to give perpetuity to a festival declared of International Tourist Interest,” indicated the manager of the shopping center, Paulo Belchior.

Likewise, El Faro has also launched the II Comparsa Hat Contest in order to share and show the visitor the “authentic works of art” with which the comparsas parade through the streets of Badajoz. The contest will be active until the end of the month and the winner will be determined by popular voting that will be carried out through the El Faro Club app, in which all visitors will be able to participate.

“As a leading socioeconomic actor in the area, we have the obligation to disseminate, protect and pamper the cultural roots of the province,” said Belchior, who clarified that, for this reason, “at El Faro we always embrace the Badajoz Carnival, through thematic activities intended for the enjoyment of young people and adults.”
