Call on Congress, Senate and regional parliaments to withdraw credentials and ask for support from journalists’ associations

MADRID, 11 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The PSOE is going to withdraw the accreditation that allows access to the events organized by the party to all the media that participated in the broadcast of the protest organized next to the party’s national headquarters in Ferraz last New Year’s Eve; in which a doll representing the president of the Government, the socialist Pedro Sánchez, was beaten.

“Given the events that occurred last New Year’s Eve in front of the Ferraz headquarters, which we consider to be extremely serious, it will withdraw the access credential to its headquarters and the events organized by the party from all the pseudomedia participating in the broadcast of the event organized by the association. Revolt,” say sources from the party leadership.

The PSOE refers to the “pseudomedia”, as it describes them, that appeared in Ferraz’s New Year’s Eve poster as “collaborators”, that is, EDATV, Ok Diario, La Gaceta de la Iberosfera, Periodisa Digital, Informa Radio, Herqles, Infovlogger and The thing is very black.

They point out that the majority of these media outlets no longer had accreditation to cover their events and they also say that they are considering making the same decision “with a particular media outlet that gave extensive coverage including an interview with the two presenters of the event.”

Although socialist sources avoid confirming the name of this media until they make a final decision, in the document that the PSOE presented to the State Attorney General’s Office to denounce the acts that occurred on New Year’s Eve, they mention an interview conducted by the digital media The Objective to the presenters of the event.

Likewise, the PSOE will also ask the Congress, the Senate and the regional parliaments, as well as the rest of the political parties and organizations to take the same measures against the aforementioned media. “This call is also made to other political parties and organizations that favor coexistence and do not promote hate speech.”

“From the PSOE we will always defend ethical journalism that fulfills its mission of informing citizens, and also controlling the powers of the State from a critical point of view. For this reason, we do not want anyone to confuse journalists who do their work. I work honestly every day, with the pseudo-media that have proliferated in the extreme right and that only feed a press of hate that causes tension and attacks against different vulnerable groups, the PSOE and mainly the left-wing parties,” they point out.
