The second vice president, Yolanda Díaz, will celebrate the closing ceremony of the ‘listening process’ with Sumar’s civil society on April 2 in Madrid, where the decision on her candidacy for the next general elections is expected to be made official.
This is how his own platform has transferred it on social networks, which also reveals the event that will open the new phase of his project, and will serve as the debut of Díaz’s leadership, it will take place at the Antonio Magariños sports center in the capital.
Precisely yesterday and during an act in Seville, the also head of Labor stated that, “immediately”, she is going to make one of the “most important” decisions of her life, with which she hopes to contribute to Spain.
He also appealed to the unity of the left, stressing that when the different progressive organizations coincide “in 90 percent” of the political program, they have to “rise up to the challenge” that lies ahead and their “obligation is to walk together “, paraphrasing a speech by the former leader of Podemos Pablo Iglesias in 2019.
Díaz’s decision will be made official one day after Podemos holds its next State Citizen Council, which is scheduled for April 1, and in a context of new tension with Sumar, since the purples condition their presence to this act to close before a bilateral coalition agreement.
To date, Díaz has visited 16 autonomous communities during his consultation phase tour with civil society, with the attendance of more than 20,000 people at these events. In fact, so far in 2023 he has intensified Sumar’s agenda with seven regional acts.
