BARCELONA, 24 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The bases of the Consell de la República (CdRep), headed by the former president of the Generalitat Carles Puigdemont, have endorsed in consultation with 74.9% of the support to promote the blockade of the investiture of the acting president of the Government and candidate of the PSOE for re-election, Pedro Sánchez.

In the consultation, which asked whether the CdRep should promote the blockade of Sánchez’s investiture by the Catalan independence parties, 4,021 people out of a census of 90,484 voted, which represents a 4.45% participation: 74. 9% voted yes, 24.9% voted ‘no’, and 0.2% voted blank.

After the vote, the CdRep government will communicate the result of the consultation to the leaderships of the different pro-independence parties “immediately.”
