Real Madrid goes to rest with homework
The madridista team complies with a tight victory and without too much brilliance against Cádiz
MADRID, 10 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Real Madrid forgot this Thursday its little bad run of results in LaLiga Santander 2022-2023 and returned to the path of victory, although it did so without the necessary forcefulness, by winning a tight 2-1 against Cádiz, in the last game before the break for the World Cup in Qatar.
The madridista team complied and got the three points to which they were obliged, for playing in front of their fans for the last time until mid-January 2023, for facing a rival from the lower half and for continuing in the wake of the leader FC Barcelona.
He succeeded, but with some difficulties and a less than brilliant football that make it clear that Carlo Ancelotti has duties during these weeks, above all so that his team, after the World Cup where it will lose many players, recover a ‘spark’ that seems having lost some key players like Vinicius, Aurelien Tchouameni or Luka Modric.
And it is that Real Madrid, who came from losing in Vallecas clearly and from drawing in their last game at the Bernabéu against another rival from the lower part such as Girona (1-1), again had a hard time generating. Sergio González redesigned a complex game for him in which he suffered until the end again due to his inability to keep a clean sheet.
The first 45 local minutes were pretty low-key. His rival was able to block the game and make players like Vinicius nervous, who still hasn’t found his best football and who had a run-in with Fali, due to a blow he hit his compatriot Rodrygo, who didn’t have a good game in an eleven either. in which Ancelotti dispensed with Asensio on his offensive front to place Valverde.
The chances were few and far between and the first was for ‘Pacha’ Espino, with a powerful long shot. Real Madrid only responded with a ‘poisoned’ cross from Modric that forced Ledesma to put in a hand and a cross shot from Valverde just before the break due to Vinicius and Fali crossing heads. However, they went into the break ahead thanks again to Eder Militao’s header, who finished off a Kroos cross from a corner kick.
The advantage did not improve the Madrid team after passing through the changing rooms. Rubén Sobrino showed little defensive reliability, but he shot, from a angle and ‘bitten’, against Courtois. The locals responded as they like best and feel more comfortable, in a great transition between Vinicius, Valverde and Lucas Vázquez, with Iza Carcelén correctly taking the shot from the Uruguayan who had a 2-0 aroma.
Real Madrid then decided to opt for a more controlled football to cool down the game against Cádiz who, despite the entry of Bongonda and Ocampo, did not have much of an offensive bite. Then, after another corner, came the great goal from Kroos, who ‘hunted’ furiously and without dropping a clearance from behind to give Ancelotti’s men peace of mind.
The Italian did not want to move the bench this time until after the 80th minute and when his rival had gotten back into the game. After Ledesma put a good hand on ‘Vini’ and Modric missed an empty goal in an almost impossible way, Courtois did not save a shot from Bongonda, and after another rebound, Lucas Pérez saved. Real Madrid could not sentence him and ‘Pacha’ Espino was about to punish him.
