MADRID, 10 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Taliban have lamented this Thursday that the recent images of the Pakistani Police arresting and tying Afghan refugees in the city of Karachi with ropes are a “provocation” and are “to the detriment of both countries”.
This has been made known by the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs controlled by the fundamentalists to the charge d’affaires of the Pakistani Embassy in Kabul, Obaidur Rahman Nizamani, tells the Tolo News chain.
The deputy spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hafiz Zia Ahmed, has condemned the images of Afghan refugees being “disturbed” and has called on the Government of Pakistan to prevent such actions from occurring again.
In recent days, images of Afghan citizens denouncing having been raped and even robbed by Pakistani agents have been widely seen on social networks. According to the United Nations Refugee Agency, more than 1.3 million Afghans reside in Pakistan.
For several years, the Pakistani authorities have been accused of using Afghan refugees and citizens in the country as a missile to pressure Afghanistan and thus achieve their interests.
