BARCELONA, Nov. 10 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Rafa Nadal Foundation and the Barcelona Tennis Foundation promote the ‘Play All’ project in Barcelona, ??with the support of Nike, with the aim of helping 80 minors in vulnerable situations, through tennis, in different neighborhoods of the Catalan capital .
This is the first project of the Rafa Nadal Foundation in Barcelona, ??and the initiative will be carried out thanks to the collaboration with the Tennis Barcelona Foundation — RCTB-1899 foundation, club del manacorí — and the sponsorship of Nike.
“‘Play All’ was born with the aim of promoting positive values ??to minors through regular tennis practice, accompanying them in their development and offering them a healthy leisure alternative,” both foundations explained.
The Rafa Nadal Foundation ensures that it works with the firm conviction that sport and education are tools with enormous transformative power, and aims to make access to tennis possible for those minors who live in vulnerable areas of Barcelona.
Both entities will carry out the new project with vulnerable children and adolescents between the ages of 6 and 16 in mind, with the main objective of accompanying these minors through regular tennis training and using this sport as a transmission tool. of four positive values ??–“sportsmanship, commitment, camaraderie and effort”–.
The director of the Rafa Nadal Foundation, María Francisca Perelló, assured that with ‘Play All’ –“the first exciting project in Barcelona”– they will be able to offer group tennis training to minors from neighborhoods with “difficult access to this sport”. “In addition, we will be able to work with them on different values ??in a practical way, to contribute positively to their development, accompanying them towards a quality future,” she explained.
For his part, the president of the Fundació Tennis Barcelona, ??Jordi Cambra, explained that the alliance with the Rafa Nadal Foundation for ‘Play All’ is a step forward in making tennis a “more democratic and inclusive sport for boys, girls and young people” of Barcelona. “There is no better way to achieve this than to unite in this project the foundation of the best tennis player in history, the club where she learned the values ??of sport and a brand as representative as Nike”, he valued.
In its first year, the ‘Play All’ project will benefit 80 minors from neighborhoods such as El Raval, Zona Franca and El Carmel. Nike, for its part, supports this project as an ally of the Rafa Nadal Foundation within its “social responsibility commitment”.
