MADRID, 29 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The former president of Uruguay José Mujica announced this Monday that he has a tumor in his esophagus during a press conference in which he explained that it was detected during a medical check-up carried out on Friday.

Mujica explained that this is a “doubly complex” case due to the immunological disease that he has suffered for 20 years and that affects his kidneys, which generates “obvious difficulties” in undergoing chemotherapy, according to Uruguayan media.

“As long as I can, I will continue to be active and entertained with vegetables. As long as the bullshit holds, I will continue (…) I want to convey to the girls and boys that life is beautiful, and it wears out and goes away,” said the former president. .

“The crux of the matter is to start over every time one falls, and if there is anger, transform it into hope and fight for love, not let yourself be fooled by hate. No one is saved alone,” he conveyed. .

“I am grateful and that they take away what I danced,” Mujica said in conclusion, but not before reluctantly warning journalists not to ask him about medical issues. “I have no idea what the guys are going to do, so don’t ask anything about medicine,” he said.
