The Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office has adopted precautionary measures of confinement in a closed center that have been agreed by the judge for the minor accused of attacking teachers and students of the IES Elena García Armada in Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz) with a knife, as indicated to Europa Press sources from the Prosecutor’s Office.

Likewise, he has indicated that the trial for the events that occurred at the IES will be held in a few months until the investigation is completed, with the declaration of the injured, witnesses and report of statements.

It should be remembered that the events occurred at 8:25 a.m. this Thursday when, according to the Police, a call came in alerting that there was an armed person attacking the rest of the Institute’s students and teachers. Upon arrival, the agents arrested the minor as the alleged perpetrator, who is a student at the center and was armed with two knives, and was taken to the police station. For their part, the injured were taken to the Jerez Hospital to be treated for their injuries.

One of the teachers had to undergo surgery when she had a cut wound on the eyelid of one of her eyes. The circumstance occurs, as indicated by the Minister of Education, Patricia del Pozo, who has been in the Hospital, that the teacher had just approved her opposition in the month of July and it was her first year.

For their part, the students of the IES Elena García Armada returned to the center this Friday morning starting at 11:45 a.m. with orientation tutors, after classes were suspended following the incident.
