ERC, Junts and the CUP negotiate another joint resolution proposal to support the amnesty

BARCELONA, 28 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

ERC and Junts have agreed on a proposed resolution for the General Policy Debate (DPG) that urges the Parliament to give its approval to the Catalan parties not supporting the investiture of the socialist candidate, Pedro Sánchez, if “he does not commit to working for make the conditions effective” for holding a referendum.

This is stated in the document registered by ERC and Junts this Thursday afternoon in the Parliament, after their two groups have requested an extension of half an hour – until 5:30 p.m. – to finalize an agreement before the last session of the Debate of General Policy.

On the other hand, and after a day of negotiations, ERC, Junts and the CUP have agreed on a proposal that supports an amnesty law for those prosecuted in cases “in relation to the defense of the right to self-determination” and that urges the Government and Catalan institutions to get involved to achieve it.
