MONACO, April 26, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — The spirit of legendary driver Giuseppe “Nino” Farina – the first F1 world champion in history – has returned to the streets of Monaco, 76 years after his victory in the emblematic circuit. The nephew of Carrozzeria Pininfarina founder Battista ‘Pinin’ Farina is the inspiration for the Automobili Pininfarina Battista Edizione Nino Farina. The eponymous pure-electric hyper GT returned to the track in an emotional return ahead of the 2024 ABB FIA Formula E Monaco E-Prix, driven by Mahindra Racing drivers Nyck de Vries and Edoardo Mortara.
They took on the famous street circuit, passing through iconic sections such as Saine Dévote, Casino Square and the Grand Hotel hairpin, the same corners that Nino Farina would have experienced in 1948.
Battista Edizione Nino Farina is limited to only five unique examples and pays tribute to the motorsport legend born in Turin. Each car in the series celebrates one of the five milestones of Nino Farina’s incredible career, ensuring that every collector owns a one-of-a-kind masterpiece of Italian design.
In 1950, Nino Farina competed in the first Grands Prix formally organized by the FIA ??- today’s Formula One World Championship – leading a three-car team. His successful career resulted in several notable victories, including his famous triumph on the streets of Monte Carlo in 1948. His legacy, characterized by his fearless driving reputation and his passion for the sport, continues to captivate racing fans. everyone.

Battista Edizione Nino FarinaThe unmistakable exterior design features a deep and rich Rosso Nino red paint, complemented by a special lower body livery, finished in Bianco Sestriere and Iconica Blu, with Glorioso Gold wheels and a striking “01” side graphic .
The exterior features the Furiosa Pack, which includes a revised carbon fiber front splitter, side fins and rear diffuser, with a Bianco Sestriere stripe, and the Carbon Accent Pack finished in Exposed Signature Carbon Black.
Dark accents extend to the Goccia roof, while the exterior jewelry package is finished in black anodized brushed aluminum. This complements the black brake calipers and center lock rings, which are finished in black anodized brushed aluminum.
Subtle details reference Nino Farina, with a “Nino Farina” engraving on the headlight, also made of black anodized brushed aluminum, while the driver’s side carbon spoiler features a “Nino Farina” graphic.
Inside, the driver’s seat is finished in Black Alcantara, with a contrasting passenger seat finished in Beige Alcantara, both with Black Sustainable Luxury Leather trim. The bespoke headrests feature an embroidered laurel wreath and “01” graphic in gold on the driver’s side, while the passenger headrest features the Automobili Pininfarina “f” logo in red. The backrests of both seats are painted in Rosso Nino, matching the exterior.
The Iconica Blu seat belts reference the exterior details, while the central tunnel, dashboard and seats feature two-tone contrast stitching in beige and red. Dark details are also found inside, with the interior jewelry finished in brushed aluminum and black anodized.
