MADRID, 3 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The socialist spokesperson and acting Minister of Education, Pilar Alegría, has described as “unacceptable” that the President of the Government of Aragon, Jorge Azcón, does not dismiss the newly appointed Director General of Justice, Esmeralda Pastor, and the recently appointed Director of Caza y Pesca, Jorge María Valero, for “embracing” the Francoist flag and making an “apology for past times”.

“It is something absolutely unacceptable. As it is unacceptable, the silence of President Azcón who constantly follows these two people from their responsibilities,” he criticized in a video broadcast by the PSOE.

This petition joins the one made this Saturday by the spokesperson for the PSOE parliamentary group in the Cortes of Aragon, Mayte Pérez, who demanded from Jorge Azcón, the “immediate” dismissal of Esmeralda Pastor as Director General of Justice for “flaunting the Francoism” by publishing a photograph “without qualms with an unconstitutional flag on their social networks”.

As Jorge Azcón has not spoken, Mayte Pérez has requested the urgent appearance of the Aragonese president before the Plenary Session of the Parliament of Aragon.

Likewise, the PSOE has demanded the “immediate” dismissal of another general director, that of Hunting and Fishing, Jorge Valero, for “his defense of Francoism”, as well as “his extreme positions outside the Constitution”.

The socialists find it “worrying” that “Franco’s friends are taking over positions in Pignatelli with the approval and silence of President Azcón.”

Likewise, Chunta Aragonesista (CHA) has demanded from the president of the Government of Aragon, Jorge Azcón, “public and urgent explanations” for the appointment of the general director of Justice, Esmeralda Pastor, “a person who practices apology for Francoism on the networks social”.

The president of CHA, Joaquín Palacín, has pointed out that the new director general of Justice “directly practices the apology of Francoism, even posing with flags of that ideology and sharing posts on her account with that same content.”
