ALBACETE, 19 Jul. (EUROPE PRESS) –

Former Prime Minister José María Aznar has shown his support for the ‘popular’ leader, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, and calls for a vote for the PP to achieve a “solid majority”. “We have to group the vote in the only one outside the government, which is the PP,” he asserted.

It was during a public act that took place at the Casino Primitivo de Albacete late in the afternoon of this Tuesday, where he defended his work at the head of the Popular Party. “If I did something right, it was to put together everything that was on the right, from there the modern, victorious PP emerged, which wins the elections, the majorities, which governs the country and decides things for progress,” he pointed out.

In this sense, he has asked voters to “go to the polls soon” and to “think well” about their choice, criticizing “sanchismo” in turn. “Those who are hesitating to vote for the PP who think that not helping the PP is helping Sánchez, and it is better to help the PP and think that what they had to correct has already been corrected.” “We are not here to settle old accounts, the victory of the PP cannot be hindered, majorities must be achieved,” he stressed.

On the same side, he has defended the project of Alberto Núñez Feijóo and has said that, just as he said in 1996, Feijóo “will come to continue the history of Spanish democracy.”

During the act, the president of the PP in Castilla-La Mancha, Paco Núñez, also spoke, criticizing that the Post Office had not foreseen the request for a massive vote. “How has the Post Office not foreseen this, the avalanche of requests, this is also Sanchismo”, he pointed out.
