Regarding Sánchez’s position towards Sumar, Ferraz admits that the government management unites them but they remember that they are different parties

MADRID, 18 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The PSOE charges against the PP candidate for the general elections on July 23, Alberto Núñez Feijóo for not attending the debate that will be held tomorrow on RTVE in which the leaders of PSOE, Vox and Sumar will participate. They point out that the ‘popular’ leader has left his representation in the hands of Santiago Abascal, “his de facto vice president”, according to Ferraz sources.

They consider that tomorrow’s debate, the last of the electoral campaign, will serve to contrast their model with that of “the extreme right” and therefore they will seek to equate the PP and Feijóo with Vox and Abascal.

Initially the debate was planned so that the heads of the list of the four main formations in the country could participate, however the PP refused to attend, arguing that they preferred a format of seven to which Bildu and ERC also attended, to show that Sánchez needs these formations to be president again.

In Ferraz, Feijóo is made ugly by his absence and affirms that Abascal will be “the one who speaks for both of us”. In this way they will continue to delve into the idea that the Socialists have conveyed throughout the entire campaign, that the PP has gone far-right by assuming the postulates of Vox. In his opinion, this circumstance has been evidenced by the pacts of both formations in town halls and regional governments.

Along these same lines, they affirm that in recent weeks it has been seen that Feijóo’s model is “the lie” and that therefore “it does not support two debates”, they point out. In this way they refer to the ‘face to face’ between Sánchez and Feijóo on July 10 at Atresmedia.

After that debate, Sánchez and the socialist ministers have attacked Feijóo, accusing him of having poured out a mountain of lies in the debate and of muddying the conversation with falsehoods. In this sense, they point out that Feijóo could not repeat the same strategy of deception in a new debate and “that is why he will not appear on TVE”, as they indicate.

Regarding the position that Sánchez will maintain with the leader of Sumar, Yolanda Díaz, from the PSOE they admit that many things unite them, including the management they have carried out in the coalition government, in which Díaz is second vice president and minister of Job.

Therefore, what is foreseeable is that Sánchez will address Díaz in a kinder tone and there will even be some common demand for economic growth and the generation of employment generated in the legislature, in a complicated context after two world crises, the coronavirus pandemic and the Ukrainian war. In any case, from the PSOE they warn that PSOE and Sumar are two different parties.
