MADRID, 15 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The board of directors of Elecnor has called an extraordinary general meeting on January 24, on second call, to approve the sale of its renewable subsidiary Enerfín to the Norwegian group Statkraft for 1.8 billion euros, as the company has reported to the National Commission of the Stock Market (CNMV).

Elecnor has announced that the meeting will be held on first call on January 23, although it is expected to be held on January 24 on second call.

In mid-November, Elecnor announced the sale of Enerfín to the Norwegian Statkraft in one of the largest renewable operations so far this year in Spain.

With this operation, Statkraft takes a ‘giant’ step in its growth in the Spanish market and in Brazil in ‘green’ energies, as reported by both companies when they announced the operation.

Enerfín’s renewable platform includes 1,500 megawatts (MW) in operation and construction and a solid portfolio of projects in different stages of development globally.

The closing of the operation is expected to occur in the first half of 2024, once the necessary authorizations have been obtained.

Statkraft, the first renewable producer in Europe and leader in the PPAs market, will consolidate itself with this acquisition as the largest renewable producer in Europe and will enter the ‘top ten’ of wind producers in Spain.
