That said, he has slipped that the party’s general secretary, Cuca Gamarra, will not continue as parliamentary spokesperson.

Feijóo has said that they are “clear” that the same person cannot hold the General Secretary of the PP and the spokesperson for the Popular Group in Congress, two positions that Gamarra has made compatible in this last year.

That said, Feijóo has indicated that he is going to “organize” the Popular Group and the party to exercise the opposition and has confirmed that there will be changes in the spokespersons. In the case of the Senate, the replacement of Javier Arenas, who has served as spokesperson since last August, is expected.

Asked then – in an interview on Antena 3 – if it follows that Cuca Gamarra is going to continue as general secretary, Feijóo responded: “You deduce and it seems to me that all your deductions are very well made, but I have not said so.” “.

Feijóo has insisted that he is going to “reinforce” the teams in Congress, the Senate and the party in the face of the “great responsibility” that lies ahead of them and has indicated that he is going to fulfill “his commitment” to do so in November, with a meeting of the Executive Committee of his party.
