MADRID, 21 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Gaza authorities announced this Sunday that the enclave’s rescue services have already removed 190 bodies from two mass graves discovered at the Nasser medical center in Khan Yunis, the recent scene of an Israeli operation against the Palestinian militias.
Rescue services have entered the site following the withdrawal on April 7 of the Israeli attack forces from the south of the enclave to determine exactly the scope of the Israel Defense Forces operation.
The Israeli Army claimed that these operations were aimed at neutralizing Palestinian militiamen hiding in the medical center while medical sources denounced at the same time that in reality it was an indiscriminate assault against patients and staff.
In this context, the director of the Information Office of the Hamas Government in Gaza, Ismail Al Thawabta, has assured that Israel “has prepared a cemetery within the walls of the complex to hide its crimes” and anticipates that the rescue services could find up to “700 executed martyrs.”
According to the same source, in information collected by the Hamas-affiliated newspaper ‘Filastin’, the bodies recovered belong to “Palestinians of different groups and ages, murdered during the intervention of the occupation forces and buried collectively.” “.
Hours before this announcement, the Civil Defense spokesperson in the Gaza Strip, Mahmoud Basal, estimated that in the south of the enclave there would be approximately 2,000 citizens missing after the Israeli withdrawal from the area in April.
