Mapfre’s board of directors has agreed to propose to the general meeting of shareholders the payment of a complementary dividend against the fiscal year 2023 of 0.09 euros per share, which is 5.9% more than the previous year.
The forecast is that this payment will be made between May 15 and 31, according to the agreement proposals for the next shareholders meeting, which will be held on March 15.
At the end of November, it already distributed a dividend based on 2023 results of 0.06 euros per share.
In this way, Mapfre will distribute a total of 0.15 euros per share to its shareholders charged to the 2023 results, an amount that is 3.4% more than in 2022 and assumes a total amount of 462 million euros .
In addition, the board of directors of the insurer has also approved the appointment of José Miguel Alcolea as general secretary and general director of the corporate legal affairs area and secretary of the board of directors, as well as member of the executive committee, with effect from next 1 April.
This appointment replaces Ángel Dávila, who is retiring after 32 years at Mapfre in different positions of responsibility.
