MADRID, 17 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The French striker of Paris Saint-Germain, Kylian Mbappé, has described as “completely wrong” the rumors in which he allegedly asked to leave the Parisian club in January when the board did not fulfill his promises, when he renewed his contract last May.

“I’m very happy, I never asked to leave in January, it’s completely false. I’m not upset with the club. What has been said is not true,” Mbappé explained to the French media after PSG’s 1-0 win. against Marseille.

The 23-year-old signed a new contract in the last month of competition last season, after months of uncertainty in which his possible move to Real Madrid was debated.

PSG football adviser Luis Campos also strongly denied the rumours, stating that Mbappé had not informed the club of such intentions, while head coach Galtier also expressed his confusion at the speculation.

“People may think I’m involved, but I’m not at all, I was taking a nap. My environment was at my little brother’s match, all the people who look after me weren’t there, so we were stunned when we found out. Mbappe added.

“Afterwards, we had to deal with it, we had to play a match. Just to say that it’s completely wrong, and I’m very happy. I’m a football player, the most important thing for me is to play and give my best on the pitch.” , he acknowledged.

For this reason, the attacker acknowledged being prepared for the rumors and focused on the sports field. “When you play at PSG, you know what you’re getting into, what it’s going to mean in the good and the bad. You have to be prepared, but we’re focused on winning games and titles,” he settled.

Since the start of the season, the Frenchman has scored 12 goals in 14 games in all competitions for the defending French champions.
