BARCELONA, 21 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The father of footballer Neymar has stated this Thursday that he will not help Dani Alves pay the bail of one million euros with which he could leave Brians 2 prison (Barcelona), where he has been imprisoned since January 20, 2023.

In a statement on his Instagram profile, Neymar da Silva has assured that he helped Alves previously when there was “no connection to any judicial process.”

He explained that currently the situation is different from the previous one, since the Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia (TSJC) has sentenced him to four and a half years for sexually assaulting a 23-year-old girl in the bathroom of a nightclub in Barcelona on December 30, 2022.

He has also added that there is speculation and attempts are being made to associate his name and that of his son with a matter that is no longer his “responsibility.”

“I hope that Daniel finds all the answers he is looking for with his own family. For us, for my family, the matter is over,” he concluded.
