BEIJING, Sept. 5, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — The 6th Shenyang International Open Regatta kicked off on Friday in Shenyang, capital of northeast China’s Liaoning province.
The regatta brought together more than 30 rowing teams, including more than 400 rowing coaches and athletes from home and abroad, who competed on the Hunhe River, one of China’s most beautiful for flatwater rowing.
Many renowned universities in China, such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, Shanghai Tongji University and Xi’an Jiaotong University, fielded their top teams to participate in the rowing competition.
It is known that the regatta establishes six groups: the elite group, the master group, the university group, the junior group, the open long-distance round-the-island group and the long-distance round-the-island university group.
This event will highlight the “international style” of Shenyang, show the world the unique natural scenery and humanistic features of the Hunhe River, and strongly promote the brand image of Shenyang as the “rowing capital”.
