The Government Subdelegation has reported that, around 11:00 p.m., all the vehicles that were trapped by the heavy snowfall on the N-122, between kilometer 105 and 115, and which connects Soria with Ágreda, have already been removed.
Previously, the Highway maintenance machinery carried out cleaning tasks on the sections between the ports of Madero and Omeñaca. Usecic (Citizen Security Unit) and Traffic Patrols of the Civil Guard have acted as escorts for the trapped vehicles towards Soria.
First, the light vehicles that remained trapped were removed and then work was done to get the hundred heavy vehicles that remained in the affected area moving.
The Military Emergency Unit (UME) of Zaragoza mobilized troops to collaborate with the emergency services deployed in the province of Soria in the rescue efforts of around 600 drivers who were trapped in half a thousand vehicles as a result of the heavy snowfall.
