Renfe has launched this week a notification system through its application and WhatsApp for train customers with a seat reservation.

The railway company has detailed in a press release that, in this first phase, travelers will receive scheduled modifications to the services they have purchased through the two aforementioned communication channels.

Regarding the Renfe application, notifications will be received through the ‘push’ system, through which a window appears on the main screen of the mobile device with the message in question.

In the case of WhatsApp, those users who have given their consent in the purchase process or through their private area will be notified.

Renfe has argued that, with this inclusion, the information with travelers “continues to improve”, since they already had a direct communication system through email and SMS.
