The British aerospace engine manufacturer Rolls-Royce plans to eliminate between 2,000 and 2,500 jobs worldwide, between 4.7% and 6% of its current workforce of 42,000 employees, in order to implement a simpler organization that will eliminate duplication and generate cost efficiencies.
The multinational has defended that this new structure will create a more agile business that will help Rolls-Royce to develop enhanced capabilities in key areas such as procurement and supply chain management, ensuring they are as robust as the technical and engineering excellence of the company. company.

For their part, functions such as Finance, General Counsel and Personnel will also meet at Rolls-Royce, standardizing activity and providing shared support to capture synergies and economies of scale with the aim of achieving greater effectiveness.
Thus, in addition to generating savings, greater focus on these key areas will lead to improvements in customer service, reducing delays in the supply chain, the company explained.
