Students from all over Spain will face the Baccalaureate Assessment Tests for University Access (EBAU, for its acronym, also formerly known as Selectividad) throughout June, within the dates scheduled for each autonomous community. Which career to study is one of the most common questions on which information is sought at this time.

The university entrance exams are one of the key moments for many Baccalaureate students, since depending on the grade they obtain they will be able to access some studies or others. Throughout the month of June, millions of young people in Spain will have to face these exams that will determine their academic and professional future.

Students from Cantabria, the Community of Madrid, the Region of Murcia and La Rioja will be the first to take the university entrance exams from June 5, followed by those from Aragon, Asturias, the Balearic Islands, The Valencian Community, Extremadura, Galicia and Navarra the following day, while those of the Canary Islands, Castilla y León, Catalonia and the Basque Country will begin on the 7th.

Those of Castilla-La Mancha will start a week later, from June 12 and a day later those of Ceuta and Melilla will do so. As for the extraordinary call, it will take place in July for all the autonomous communities except for Navarrese students, who have it scheduled for the end of June; and the Catalans, who will have to wait until September.

Every year, each public university establishes cut-off marks based on the lowest grade obtained by the last student admitted to the degree after the allocation of places. Although these change with each call, consulting those of previous courses can serve as guidance for future students.

A maximum of fourteen points can be obtained in the university entrance exams. Among the careers with the highest cut-off grade in the 2022-2023 academic year, titles related to health sciences such as Biomedicine, Biochemistry or Medicine stand out, as well as technical careers such as Engineering in Aerospace Technologies, Robotics or Mathematics and Computer Science.

You cannot go to university if the EBAU is failed, so the minimum cut-off grade is 5. Degrees such as Agricultural Engineering, Catalan Language and Literature or Social and Cultural Anthropology are among those that usually have this grade. court.
