PARIS, April 17, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — The Île-de-France region and Île-de-France Mobilités, the main public funders after the Government, have invested more than 500 million euros for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris 2024. This investment covers transport, sports infrastructure, green spaces, housing and reinforcement of security measures.
The Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games are set to make history as the first Games accessible entirely via low-carbon public transport. The Paris Olympic Games have begun to have an economic impact: 1,500 jobs have already been created out of a total of 4,000 in the long term. In June, the region will launch a retraining platform for employees who have completed their tasks, facilitating their transition to new job opportunities offered by volunteer companies.
