BARCELONA, 4 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Consell de la República (CdRep), chaired by Carles Puigdemont, has called a vote among its bases, which will take place between October 17 and 23, to decide whether the Catalan independence parties should “promote the blocking” of the investiture of the acting President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez.

“Should the Council of the Republic promote the blockade of the investiture of the President of the Spanish State by the Catalan independence parties?” reads the text of the consultation question included in the CdRep bulletin.

A registered member of the CdRep promoted the proposal at the end of July and has obtained the necessary endorsements to move it forward – 1% of those registered -, so it will be put to a vote by the members.
