The PSC spokesperson, Núria Parlon, has stated that the PSC will not support the investiture of the Junts candidate, Carles Puigdemont, even if he “threatens to block governability in Spain.”

He said this this Monday at a press conference at the party headquarters after the meeting of the PSC Executive Commission, in which he urged Puigdemont to “accept the principle of reality” regarding the victory in votes and seats that have obtained by the socialists in this Sunday’s elections.

Likewise, Parlon has announced that the PSC has set up this Monday a negotiating commission headed by the deputy first secretary of the PSC and campaign director, Lluïsa Moret; the person in charge of Organization and Electoral Action, José Luís Gimeno; the Secretary of Municipal Policy, Joaquín Fernández; the two fear Barcelona, ​​Alicia Romero; the cinco, Ferran Pedret, and the Secretary of Programs of the PSC, Javier Villamayor, to start negotiations with the rest of the political formations, except Vox and Aliança Catalana.
