BARCELONA, 21 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The US multinational language services and technology solutions TransPerfect had a global turnover of 1,088 million euros last year, 4.6% more, thus exceeding one billion for the first time and accumulating 30 consecutive years of revenue growth.

The company attributes this to its expansion in eight more cities around the world (especially in Africa, Asia and the Caribbean) and to the functionality of its equipment, for which it received eight awards at the 2022 Stevie Awards for Sales and Customer Service, reports this Tuesday in a statement.

TransPerfect’s president and CEO, Phil Shawe, has highlighted the increase in revenue “in a difficult economic environment” and that its business has diversified into different regions, sectors and technology offerings.

In Spain, the firm was reinforced with new acquisitions, beginning with the Somàgic studio, based in Valencia and specialized in dubbing and sound post-production.

TransPerfect thus added to its network in Spain more rooms and spaces for dubbing, mixing and production.

Last year, the growth of GlobalLink Now, its neural machine translation solution based on artificial intelligence, was “accelerated”: it achieved a 100% increase in sales and exceeded 80 billion words processed.

More than 500 new customers implemented GlobalLink solutions to streamline their global content, resulting in an 11% year-over-year increase in technology license revenue.

Regarding social action, the company and its employees collaborated with organizations such as Girls Who Code, The V Foundation for Cancer Research, Cfes Brilliant Pathways, Clear Global, Athlete Ally, Bottom Line, Afanoc and Toys for Tots.

The editions of the annual charity race TransPerfect Mountain Challenge have raised a total of more than 210,000 euros to help families affected by childhood cancer (the last one was on March 11 and more than 500 people participated, “a record number of registrations”).
