It says that the agreement with the PSOE will require companies that have their main activity in a territory to have their headquarters there

BARCELONA, 11 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The general secretary of Junts, Jordi Turull, assured this Thursday that he hopes that Catalonia can decide on the expulsion of immigrants in an irregular situation who are repeat offenders: “We have to look under what conditions we can expel these people.”

This was explained in an interview on Catalunya Ràdio collected by Europa Press, after the PSOE and Junts agreed on the comprehensive delegation of immigration powers to the Generalitat, which would occur through article 150.2 of the Spanish Constitution through of a specific organic law for Catalonia.

However, he has refused to start the debate on this issue because, in his opinion, when one manages all the powers in immigration, and other issues such as youth, social services and education, the first thing you should try is to ensure that there is no multiple recidivism.

After arguing that it is necessary to find a solution to multiple recidivism, he has asked to address these issues from the logic of “integration” and not to fuel confrontational policies.

He has also explained that, once they assume immigration skills, this will allow them to address issues such as language, migratory flows and aspects related to the labor aspect.

“Now, when the organic law is in force, from Catalonia we will have more sovereignty to decide on immigration policies,” said Turull, who has not clarified whether they will ask the Mossos d’Esquadra to assume immigration powers, among other things.

And, according to the Junts leader, the political decision was formalized on Wednesday and that now they will have to get to work to write the wording of the law.

He has also assured that the Government must celebrate the agreement reached with the PSOE, which he has defended because, in his opinion, these agreements “must be made regardless of who governs here or there.”

Turull has referred to the commitment reached with the PSOE to reform the law on capital companies and facilitate the return of companies that left Catalonia due to the ‘procés’: “A specific royal decree will be made for this issue, to reverse the situation that was done maliciously by the PP.”

Regarding the decree, he indicated that it will require companies that have their main activity in a territory to have their headquarters there, and added that they have also agreed on a plan to “help Catalan SMEs.”

When asked about the meetings with the PSOE that are part of the investiture agreement to invest the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, he stated that “another meeting is scheduled.”

And regarding alleged cases of sexual harassment in Junts, the secretary general has assured that he is “convinced” that there are none, although he has clarified that they are very delicate issues with a large aspect of confidentiality.

“The protocols have been activated, and it will be known,” said Turull, who explained that the supposedly affected person has not submitted any complaint internally.
