The second vice president of the Government and Minister of Labor and Social Economy, Yolanda Díaz, has asked the PSOE to convene “immediately” the Government’s monitoring commission, whose function is to review the functioning of the coalition, evaluate compliance with the objectives and coordinate the action of the two partners of the Executive.
This was also claimed by the leader of Sumar in an interview on RNE, which was reported by Europa Press, in which she recalled that three months ago her party already asked the socialists for a meeting of the commission, which should have been established in the first 30 days of Government, as stated in the coalition agreement.
Asked when she plans to convene the monitoring commission, Díaz has announced that she will do so “immediately” and in a “prudent, but now” manner. Although the constitution of the body is three months late, the second vice president has ruled out any unrest in Sumar, and has attributed this delay to the fact that “too many elections” have been held during this period.
