MADRID, 20 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The president of the Balearic Government, Francina Armengol, assured this Thursday that she will work so that the population projections of the National Institute of Statistics are not fulfilled -which predict a growth of 300,000 inhabitants in the Balearic Islands in 15 years-, “because it is simply untenable”.
This was expressed during an informative breakfast organized by Europa Press in Madrid. The president has linked this human pressure to tourism growth and has insisted on the need to distribute its benefits to “guarantee a balance between residents and tourism.”
