Agents of the National Police have arrested an individual in the town of Blanca (Murcia) for consuming from his home and sharing “extremely radical” material of a jihadist nature. Furthermore, he had stated his desire to die as a martyr.
The operation has been carried out jointly by the General Information Police Station (CGI) and the Provincial Information Brigade of Murcia, in collaboration with the CNI, under the coordination of the National High Court Prosecutor’s Office and the direction of the Central Court of Instruction number Five , which this Friday has decreed his admission to preventive detention.
According to the Police, the arrested person, who possessed a “huge amount of propaganda material of a jihadist nature”, is accused of his alleged participation in the crimes of collaboration with a terrorist organization and terrorist self-indoctrination.
The investigation began in February of this year as a result of collaboration with the Moroccan DGST, who alerted the National Police about the presence of a “highly radicalized” individual in Spain.
After that, the agents specialized in jihadism began their investigative work, monitoring the detainee and verifying the criminal activity that he carried out mainly in the virtual field.
On Tuesday afternoon, after his arrest, an entry and search was carried out at his home, intervening electronic elements, telephone terminals and documentation of “great interest.
