MADRID, 26 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
At least 15 people have died and another 27 have been injured as a result of an armed attack on the Shah Cheragh mosque in the city of Shiraz, located in southeastern Iran.
As detailed by a person in charge of Security, Political and Social Affairs of the Fars governorate, Ismail Mohebipour, the event occurred while the faithful were performing their prayers, reports ISNA.
Mohebipour himself has stressed that the situation is already controlled by the security authorities, who have managed to arrest two of the three alleged perpetrators of the shooting.
This event has occurred on a day in which several cities in Iran have once again been the scene of numerous mobilizations against the Government, just on the day that marks the 40th day since the death of Masha Amini in police custody.
