MADRID, 7 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

At least five Syrian soldiers have died and five others have been injured this Sunday as a result of an alleged terrorist attack with drones in the Idlib demilitarized zone, in northern Syria and near the border with Turkey.

The attack, which would have been inflicted by terrorists from the Al Nusra Front, targeted positions and members of government forces in the town of Jurin, 120 kilometers southwest of Aleppo, the Russian Defense Ministry reported in a report.

“Five Syrian soldiers were killed and five others were wounded in Latakia province in a series of drone strikes launched by terrorists,” said Oleg Egorov, deputy head of the Russian Center for Syrian Reconciliation.

In response to the attack, the Syrian Air Force reportedly carried out an attack on an Al Nusra Front compound, thus destroying a training camp as well as underground shelters of “illegal armed groups”.

During the operation, 93 combatants were killed and another 135 wounded, including the field commanders Saddam al Dedali and Abudullah al Ahmed, according to Egorov.
