At least six people have been arrested in central London for spraying paint on several official institution buildings to demand that the Government stop oil and gas exploration, in a campaign promoted by the campaign that already attacked ‘The Sunflowers’ of Vincent Van Gogh.
Just Stop Oil activists have acted against the headquarters of the Home Office, MI5, the Bank of England and the News Corp media conglomerate. They represent “the four pillars that support and maintain the power of the fossil fuel economy”, in the opinion of the promoters of the protest.
The group has intensified its protests in recent months, to the point that the Police urged citizens to stay on the sidelines on Sunday, after a group of drivers evicted a group of people blocking the center of the English capital, according to the BBC.
