Kherson’s pro-Moscow governor, Volodimir Saldo, announced last week that civilians on the eastern edge of the region would be moved to the west in response to a hypothetical flood in the area in the event that the Ukrainian Army attacked the dam of a hydroelectric power station in New Kakhovska.
From kyiv they have responded that it is the Russian Armed Forces who, in fact, plan to attack said critical infrastructure, following the strategy adopted by the Kremlin for a few weeks to attack the energy facilities of a large part of the Ukrainian territory.
With the creation of this militia, Kherson would join Donetsk and Luganks, who have defense battalions that have fought hand in hand with the Russian Army in the war in Ukraine.
