The PSOE has expressed confidence that the amnesty law agreed with the Catalan independence parties will be approved this Thursday in the Justice Commission of Congress without any changes with respect to terrorism, after Carles Puigdemont’s party overturned it a month ago. demanding greater guarantees for the leaders of the ‘procés’ investigated for this crime.
This was confirmed this Monday by the PSOE spokesperson, Esther Peña, in a press conference in which she reaffirmed that her party has adopted a “firm and clear position” and that they do not plan to “make any modifications” regarding terrorism. , as Junts requested.
“We always say it, we feel comfortable and at ease with the document agreed upon with those six parliamentary groups and that we understand that this Thursday it can obtain the majority support to be approved in that Justice commission,” explained the socialist spokesperson.
In this sense, PSOE sources have stressed that “clearly” there will be no changes on terrorism in the amnesty, although they do not rule out “some small change” but that it does not change “the philosophy of the law.”
