The Catalan polling stations, with 8,940 tables, closed at 8 p.m. this Sunday on a day marked by the widespread incident in Rodalies after a copper theft.
ERC and Junts had asked the provincial electoral boards (JEP) to extend this Sunday’s election day due to the incident, but the requests have been rejected.
A total of 5,754,840 people were called to vote in the Parliament elections: there are 80,000 people (including substitutes) involved in the 8,940 tables of the 2,695 polling stations, where 5.8 million ballots and 6.2 million of envelopes.
